MSI rolout in Group Policy steken

Hello,

Ik ben op zoek naar een oplossing voor het volgende probleem :

Ik zou graag de Van Dale Woordenboeken uitrollen op ± 500 werkstations.
Graag zou ik dit via een Group Policy doen in de Active Directory.

Via de commandline (msiexec) kan ik het MSI bestand lanceren door "msiexec /qb /i \\Servername\_MSI-Packages\VanDale21\Nederlands\setupegn.msi CCINSTALLATIONTYPE=laptop CCINSTALLATIONTARGET=local INSTALLDIR="C:\Program Files\Van Dale 2.1\Nederlands" CCINSTALLDATA=1 CCINSTALLMACRO=0 MSWORDDISABLED=1 CCINSTALLSHORTCUTS=1" te gebruiken.

De opties die ik achter het MSI bestand zet kan je echter niet via de GP toevoegen.

A: Great question. We simply have never added that support. An MST can "sometimes" act as a substitute, but I agree that this would be a great future addition.

Ik slaag er echter ook niet in om voor deze Van Dale woordenboeken een MST bestand te genereren.

Iemand ervaring met dit probleem?

Geen ervaring mee maar heb wel het volgende voor je gevonden.

Being that I’ve never been a big fan of script writing, I prefer to use the WinInstall LE tool to create MSI files. It doesn’t require any scripting, but it is a little time consuming to use. WinInstall LE requires you to have a machine with a clean Windows installation and network connectivity. The software then takes a snapshot of this machine and saves the configuration image. You would then install the application that you want to create the MSI file for and take another snap shot. WinInstall would then compare the snapshots and use the differences between the two images to create an MSI file and the corresponding installation package.

hmm..dat kan lastig worden, direct editen van msi is een lastige klus.

heb je een package software, bijvoorbeeld Wise Package studio ?
Deze maakt een mst voor je aan...

mocht het lastig zijn dan wil eens kijken of ik tijd heb.. pm me maar anders maar ..

Michien is een Startup-script een idee... middels een CMD of VBSje die dan de installatie start.
