Q : How do I enable Skype support in the US version of SetPoint?

A : Thanks for the fun question. I just found how to do it all.

My uberOptions doesn't fix this on its own. uberOptions does add all the "VoIP:" functions to all buttons (so you can set any button to be any function), but SetPoint still doesn't support Skype until you install the needed files from Logitech.

Looking around and trying a few things, here's how to add Skype support (Note this won't work on Windows XP x64, but it does work on Windows 2000 and 32-bit XP):

Download the "BR" release of SetPoint from http://www.logitech.com/i...CRID=1796,contentid=12524 or ftp://ftp.logitech.com/pu.../mouse/setpoint310_br.exe
Rename the .exe file to .zip and open it in your favorite ZIP program (I use 7zip)
Extract the " \3-BedRock" folder and run the setup.exe file in it to install "Logitech Communications Manager".
If you just run the setpoint310_br.exe file, it would install Logitech Communications Manager without Skype support. If you did this on accident, you need to uninstall and re-install "3-BedRock" by hand (run 3-BedRock\uninstall.bat, then run 3-BedRock\setup.exe). To check if you installed Skype support, check to see if C:\Program Files\Common Files\Logitech\LComMgr\BRSkypePlugin.dll exists.

You may also want to install "4-AEC" ("Logitech Audio Echo Cancellation") and "5-ATW" ("Logitech Audio Tuning Wizard", accessed via Audio Settings Wizard on the SetPoint tools tab) if you want to use those features (mostly for use with the EasyCall SpeakerPhone). Those 3 folders ("3-BedRock", "4-AEC", and "5-ATW") are the only difference between the "BR" release and normal release of SetPoint 3.10 that I can see.
