Nieuwsberichten over "onderzoeken"

De laatste tijd zie ik steeds meer van die onderzoekjes op t.net, de meeste zijn nog wel een beetje onderbouwd maar waarom dit onderzoek:

Op t.net geplaatst is, is mij een raadsel.

Ze beweren in de bron dat ze iets onderzocht hebben en dat ze daaruit op maken dat de PS3 meer gaat verkopen dan de Wii en de Xbox 360 samen.

Hoe en wat ze onderzocht hebben wordt dan weer niet vermeld.

Wie kan mij uitleggen wat de nieuwswaarde van dit "onderzoek" is, waar niet eens wordt verteld wat ze precies onderzocht hebben, en hoe ze aan deze uitslag van hun "onderzoek" komen.

De PS3 overleefd tot nu toe alleen in het nieuws, alsof Sony alleen journalisten heeft rondlopen op de marketing. Hoewel het inderdaad alle kanten opkan heb ik ook mijn vraagtekens over de PS3.

Kijk maar eens:

According to statistics put together by US retail analyst NPD, it was Microsoft's Xbox 360 that emerged the overall winner during the festive sales rush. The Xbox 360 - already on the market for a year and boosted by the best-selling title Gears of War - shifted 2m units across the US in November and December, narrowly ahead of the Nintendo Wii.

The Wii, revelling in a huge splash of media coverage, managed 1.8m in the same two-month period - despite not launching until the third week of November.
In comparison with these two, however, the PlayStation 3 fared notably less well. Dogged by a lack of stock and higher price, the PS3 sold an estimated 750,000 units following its launch on November 17 - the same week that the Wii hit America's streets.

Even the scalpers, usually one of the internet's best early indicators, found the going tough with PS3. Videogame touts - who usually make a killing by scooping several machines on launch day and then flogging them off for enormous profit - found it a struggle to auction off their machines when the expected high street sell-out failed to materialise. According to figures put together by Michael Fahey, an editor at the Kotaku games blog, the average price of a PlayStation 3 on eBay plummeted from more than $2,000 (£1,018) before launch to just $724 (£367) in the days before Christmas

In Japan, where Microsoft has almost no market share, the new PlayStation is still in a distant second place to the Wii, with Nintendo reported to be outselling its Sony rival by more than three to one in the middle of December.

Enfin, het is niet bepaald rozegeur en maneschijn voor de PS3 (wel de PS2 nog steeds) en zodoende valt er wel wat voor te zeggen dat het kunstmatig positief verkocht wordt.

Ik denk eigenlijk dat je er gewoon in het algemaan niks over kunt zeggen voor de levertekorten opgelost zijn.
Persberichten in deze materie lijken me ook 90% van de tijd gewoon eenzijdig te zijn. Elk "onderzoek" lijkt ofwel door Sony, ofwel door Microsoft geschreven te zijn. Ik denk dus dat we gewoon een half jaartje moeten wachten (ik weet het, een eeuwigheid in computertermen), en dan kan je misschien GEFUNDEERDE voorspellingen gaan doen.
Ik heb echt de indruk dat zowel de persberichten, als alle reacties op die berichten op t.net gewoon een grote pot moddergooien van 12-jarige kindjes is. Zo komt het in ieder geval over voor iemand die nog nooit een console gekocht heeft .
