Welke 20GB HD moet ik kopen....???

Het moet een IDE geval zijn... SCSI is me wat te duur.
welke is het snelst. Quantum? Maxtor? IBM?

Ik heb hele goede ervaringen met m'n Quantum LM+ 20.5 Gb . 7200 toeren , 2MB cache en lage random acces . Ik geloof dat het ook een van de snelste 20 Gb schijven van dit moment is . Sandra benchmark is 18559 .

heb de 5400rpm versie en die doet het prima

IBM is misschien soms ietsje sneller, maaruh.. wel 150% duurder!

die IBM is het snelst... maar de seaktime van de quantum is weer sneller....

en die prijs... da's een verschil van een paar tientjes....

Hangt er vanaf welke IBM je bedoelt . Ik heb hiervoor een IBM gehad 20.5 Gb 372050 DTPA 7200 rpm en 2 mb cache en die was lang niet zo snel als de Quantum en ging 2x in een week kapot. Die nieuwe IBM schijven zullen wel iets sneller zijn , maar ik weet niet of ze ook in de smaak 20 Gb verkocht worden .

MAXTOR ZUIGT...tenminste bij mij dan in ieder geval. Ik heb een 40 gigaschijfje van maxtor en dat draait dus echt als varkensbagger in een soepketel NIET DUS

Volgens mij is mijn cdrom speler nog sneller dan die HD zeg...

Ik heb zelf de Quantum Fireball LM 20,5 GB 7200 rpm, en ik kan je vertellen dat hij niet echt stil is. Hij kraakt aan alle kanten! Daarentegen issie wel errug snel, seaktime is abnormaal snel!
Wat dat betreft is Maxtor heeeeeeeel wat stiller, mijn pa heeft er 1 en die hoor je bijna niet..

Dus Maxtor!

Ik heb een maxtor 5400 en 2 quantum fireballs + lm 7200 en ik vind de fireballs toch geen herrie maken ze zijn eerder nog stiller als de maxtor maar ze draien allebei goed

Hmm van dat geluid daar zou ik waarschijnlijk weinig van merken aangezien
ik ook al een Alpha cooler en nog wat Fans in me kast heb hangen.

Als de seaktime enzo en dataverplaatsing sneller is dan heb ik dus liever een Quantum

Alleen seektime, maar misschien is voor een 20GB inderdaad de Quantum de beste keus, bij 30GB of 40GB is de beste keuze wel maxtor...

Ik heb hem, en hij is VEEL sneller als mijn Quantum 6gig!!!!
Koop een Seagate Barracuda 20,4gig.

he, ik denk dat als je wilt weten welke 20gb het snelste is het beste op internet kunt zoeken, want dan worden ze vergeleken met andere merken en ik kan wel roepen dat mijn IBM reete snel is, maar als ik geen maxtor heb dan kan ik daar niet over oordelen, dduusshee.

Ik heb een IBM, en geloof me die is echt de snelste van allemaal... dan moet je wel een schijf uit de 75GXP serie nemen (ik heb de 45 gieg versie, d'r is er ook een van 20 gieg)
prijs valt ook wel mee hoor

In mijn primaire workstation heb ik een Maxtor, en die valt toch een beetje tegen.

In m'n servertje zit een IBM Deskstar (7200 RPM, 2 MB cache, ATA100-compliant). Die is een stuk sneller dan de Maxtor...

heeft geen zin sniper, het zit namenlijk zo, dat als hdd wat voller wordt bench weer lager wordt, dus schiet je geen fuck mee op, en hangt ook van systeem af....

Maaruh... in UA/100 modus is nieuwe IBM zeker het snelst! maar moet je wel UA/100 hebben, duzzja, zit je echt aan een Abit KA7-100 met Athlon, topsysteem heb je dan...

Waarom moet het een 20GB zijn, mag 30 ook?
In dat geval, ik heb laatst een Seagate Barracuda gekocht, geinstalleerd, weer teruggebracht en ingeruild voor een (iets duurdere) IBM deskstar. Ii had al een 10GB IBM en ik heb er geen spijt van dat ik nu weer voor IBM heb gekozen.

Met Maxtor heb ik alleen ervaring uit de tijd dat 300MB nog veel was, daar was ik ook niet heel tevreden over.

Enneh Bloody-Titan, je mag best weer 99 keer Maxtor gaan copy/pasten, je argumenten versterk je er niet door, eigenlijk is het alleen maar Bloody-Onzin.

Ik heb een IBM 20GB 7200toeren , en hij haalt
in HD-tach (vind ik toch wel beter dan die sisoft sandra) :
maximum 25484kb/s , average 19181kb/s en een seek time van 13,5 ms.

En na een maandje is ie nog steeds niet stuk.
(maar een 40Mhz pci bus doet het niet meer )
