Disk problems

I operate in a Xp Pro environment in a system with two DVD-burners, two SCSI hard drives and a SATA IDE storage HD. Never had a problem before. But lately, no matter what I am doing, "There is no disk in the drive. Please insert disk into drive E:". It is as if it is looking for the application's CD. If I simply hit "cancel", it goes away and the application runs find. And sometimes when there is a disk in it, it just says 0kb , then the disk or DVD is empty???
Until the next pop up error message.
I also cant read any USB flash drives, when I insert it, it says "The disk in drive * is not formatted, format is now?"

Hi there

I believe it is just something with your drivers, try Device Manager, uninstall your drives there, reboot your computer and wait for them to be re-installed.

Probably the first problem is caused by a broken DVD drive. Is it always on one and the same drive or on both DVD drives?
Having said that, your second problem is it one since lately or has it always been like this? If this is lately it seems youve got a conflict somewhere as said before by someone else above.... hardware or software... also when you've the problem with the usb disks, other usb devices keep on workin fine?

Ik heb dat geprobeerd, en nog steeds hetzelfde probleem, mijn 2 X Samsung SH-162L tonen leeg aan als ik er iets insteek, als ik een usb stick plug, dan geeft die aan dat ik hem moet formatteren, op mijn laptop wekt hij prima..
Is het mss iets met I/O controllers of wat dat ook moge betekenen ?

EDIT: Ja, ik denk dat het softwarematig is, ik had gisteren telenet security pack geinstalleerd, maar dat was een ervaring erger dan een horror film, heel mijn pc ontplofte , dus ik heb dat gedeinstalleerd, want da was echt super onstabliel enzo... Sindsdien werkt mijn drives niet meer... ik zie geen connectie eigenlijk.. wat heeft een firewall en antivirus met een CD-rom drive te maken.. ?!

Ja, ik was ffe vergete da dit hier nederlands was, 90% van de forums waar ik op ga is engels

Nu heb ik het volgende ontdekt, mijn 2 samsing dvdrw zijn LOSGEKOPPELD, en nu vind windows 2 andere drives die ik niet ken !!!! die niet in mijn pc zitten !!!!
hoe delete ik die ?
