Ik heb een amd 3400+ , 1gb aan ram en een nvidia 6800gt (AGP). Met dit systeem kan ik ut2004 onder windows heel gemakkelijk op maximum detail draaien , en haal ik constant de capped frame limit van 80fps.
Dus ik dacht UT2004 ook onder linux te installeren , om zo volledig over te stappen (wat ik ook allang gedaan heb) , om toch nog te kunnen blijven verdergamen.

Dus ik installeer UT2004 , via emerge zodanig dat ik laaste patch enzo al heb. Ik wil het gaan runnen , maar ik heb zeer lage framerates (met lagere settings dan onder windows). Dus ik heb dan nieuwe nvidia drivers geinstalleerd (de huidige stable **29 drivers). Maar deze drivers deden mijn X crashen wanneer ik UT2004 opstartte. Dit was een 'known bug' ds heb ik maar gelijk geupgrade naar de nieuwere beta drivers. Nu heb ik dus de 9742 drivers. Deze werken goed , maar je raad het al mijn UT 2004 heeft nog steeds heel lage framerates

Ik draai beryl , maar deze schakel ik uit voordat ik begin te gamen , ook heb ik al getest door de 'beryl lijnen' weg te laten in xorg.conf. Dit gaf geen resultaat op.
