Asus P5WDG2 WS Professional memory issue

Oi,

Kheb afgelopen week mijn pc ge-upgrade en heb hetvolgende in elkander gestoken:

Core2Duo e6600
Asus P5WDG2 WS Professional link!
4GB GEIL PC2-6400 value ( 2x GX22GB6400DC ) link!
XFX GF8800GTX link!

Tegenwoordig krijg je bij het GEIL memory een kaartje waarop staat dat de door SPD gedetecteerde speeds lager zijn dan waar de module voor is ontworpen. Zo herkend mijn bord de reepjes op PC2-5300.

Please note, all SPD for GeIL product series PC5400 DDR2 667 & above (Value & Ultra) will be tuned by safe-mode technology to ensure 100% compatibility with various supported motherboard platforms. Thus, for low latency DDR2 product series, users will need to boot up the system with the default safe-mode SPD and re-adjust the SPD back to the factory rated lower SPD in BIOS setting.

The safe-mode techique on designated DDR2 product is necessary to ensure 100% compatibility with supported motherboards when booting up the system for the first time. Due to the fact that most motherboard manufactures do not have platforms supporting DDR2 memory modules automatically in CAS latency smaller than 5.

The safe-mode SPD will be applied to all GeIL's DDR2 series product 667 & above with shipping date December 2nd, 2005 and beyond. You will find a "CAUTION" card in every retai packaged DDR2 products mentioned above.

Als het geheugen op SPD waardes draait is de PC volledig stabiel (prime95, 3dmark etc.) Echter zodra ik in de bios de snelheid van het gegeugen verander naar PC2-6400, 800Mhz op de stock-timings van 5-5-5-15 en het manual voedt met 1.80v is de pc niet stabiel. Prime95 geeft computing errors en 3dmark Crashed-To-Desktop.

Ik heb hier zelf vrij weinig over kunnen vinden maar heb ik hier te maken met een limitatie van de Intel 975x chip aangezien ik 4 reepjes van 1GB in Dual-Channel gebruik?

Verder: Timings verhoogt, +0.1v northbridge, 1.9v VDDR. geen baat.. Enige advies? Ben er al een tijdje mee bezig maar krijg het op 800Mhz maar niet stabiel
