[Xorg + NVidia] Zwarte verticale balk aan rechterkant - Linux en overige clients

Ik heb een probleempje met het instellen van Xorg in combinatie met de nVidia driver. Ik gebruik een Ubuntu systeem, maar heb hetzelfde probleem in SuSE. In het systeem zit een 7800 GTX videokaart en gebruik een BenQ FP931 TFT monitor.
Na de installatie van de nVidia driver wordt het beeld wel getoond, maar krijg ik een zwarte balk aan de rechterkant van het scherm. Ook zien alle letters er wat geantialiased uit. Hetzelfde gebeurt niet als de "nv" driver wordt gebruikt.

Ik heb al een paar dagen gezocht op Google naar een antwoord, maar ik kon niets vinden van soortgelijke problemen.
Ook heb ik geprobeerd de "nv" driver te gebruiken, maar dan wordt het beeld steeds meer gescrambled naarmate je langer aan het werk bent in Ubuntu.

Iemand die misschien een oplossing weet?

Ja, ook geprobeerd. Beeld wordt helaas niet verbeterd.

Als verbetering zou ik em sowieso even wat opschonen door al die onnodige reso's er lekker uit te laten

En ook wordt het aangeraden die BusID gewoon te laten staan. Ik heb hiermee zellfs een keer flinke problemen gehad toen ik die regel niet had staan.

lspci -v |grep -i vga uit mijn hoofd moet je de juiste busid geven

Oplossing was dus om de geometry van het LCD scherm aan te passen.

. Op de monitor wordt de optie "Pixel Clock"genoemd. En dan ermee het scherm uitrekken totdat alles ineens scherp is.

Ik koop voorlopig geen Benq monitoren iig...

Dat is dus het rare, de autoadjust loste het helaas niet op. Alleen handmatig de geometry aanpassen werkte. Beeldscherm is al 2 jaar oud. Ik ga over een paar maanden maar iets beters halen.
