probleem met punkbuster

Ik heb sinds ik mijn nieuwe computer heb een probleem met punkbuster in samenwerking met call of duty 2.

Als ik punkbuster aanzet via het multiplayer menu word het spel meteen afgesloten zonder error-melding of iets anders. Hij geeft alleen bij de volgende start aan dat er iets mis is gelopen en dat ik hem in safe-mode kan starten, maar dat helpt dus ook niet.

Ik heb dit probleem d.m.v. een troubleticket aan de even balance tech support voorgelegd, maar ik heb het gevoel dat ze er daar ook niet uitkomen.

Note #1: Ticket submitted to support staff.

the game shuts down without any warning when i enable punkbuster. I'm not even playing the game yet, i'm just in the menu when this happens.

-I have updated PB with pbsetup but it didn't help.
-I also changed video drivers several times.
-There's nothing running that shouldn't be there (like cheating software)

My other computer runs the game just fine so think it has something to do with windows xp 64, but i don't know for sure.

Note #2: Please check if the Windows Update KB917422 is installed on your computer. If so, remove it and try playing again. When you worry about uninstalling a security update you can get the hotfix to this update from Microsoft: Programs that limit the application stack size to 2,048 bytes may not run after you install security update 917422

Also running the game in the Windows 2000 compatibility mode might help.

I tried both fixes but it didn't work. I heard someone had trouble with a virusscanner but i don't have one. I'm pretty sure it doesnt have to do with any processes because the problem still occurs with the list of (somewhat essential) processes running wich u see below.

Note #4: This issue is from a program that conflicts with PB. There are a few known program that cause this:

Closing those programs, or any like them that contain user or kernel level debuggers should stop the problem.
Installing the latest ForceWare drivers helped some users too.

Zoals te zien is herhalen ze in note#4 een standaard verhaaltje uit de faq, terwijl ik al heb aangegeven niks raars te hebben draaien. Ik heb ook alle instructies opgevolgd.

Als ik het me goed herinner had dit te maken met of bovenstaande windows update of Kaspersky, draai je de laatste? Verwijder dan die windows update en het zou naar behoren moeten werken.

was het maar zo makkelijk,

ik heb die foute update verwijderd, punkbuster helemaal geupdate, meerdere versies van cod geprobeerd, en verschillende drivers geprobeerd.

zoals in de quote te zien is heb ik niks raars draaien.

op mijn athlon 2000+ systeem doet hij het gewoon.
