Kan Asus V2-PE3 barebone Intel D CPU's aan?

Tjonge, wat zijn die manuals tegenwoordig onduidelijk en summier. Op het net ook niets over te vinden.
Ik heb hier 2 bouw-projecten liggen, die beginnen met de V2-PE3 barebones van ASUS. Geweldige systemen, zie http://www.asus.com/produ...model=1157&l1=1&l2=1&l3=0
maar of er nu wel of geen support is voor Intel D op LGA/socket 775 blijkt nergens uit.

Heeft iemand hier met succes een Intel D, dus geen Intel P4, in zo'n V2-PE3 draaien?

Nee. Daarmee is namelijk niet gezegd of ze Intel Dual Core ondersteunen. Mag aannemen dat die anders worden aangesproken, anders zouden ze er wel "Intel P4+D" neerzetten. Begrijp ook niet waarom ze dat er niet even bij zetten, hoe lastig is zoiets nou?

Bij de Intel D staat vaak:
"LET OP !! CPU Vereist Intel 945/955 chipset of hoger"
en ik zie die chipset niet op de V2-PE3 specs..

Een Pentium 4 is bij mijn weten totaal iets anders als een Pentium D en staan ook verschillend in bijv. de pricewatch. Daarnaast had ASUS ongetwijfeld bij de specificaties wel Pentium 4 up to 3.8 GHz (Prescott) and Pentium D ..... neergezet

Ja, maar het is niet voor niets 775 boxed, dus je kunt hem er zo in douwen. Blijf dit niet duidelijk vinden. De essentie van een Intel Dual Core is gewoon P4 shared.

Kijk, dat had ik ook gevonden, daarom dus mijn vraag:

Is er iemand die dat werkend heeft? Een Intel D in een ASUS V2-PE3.

Waarom zou asus die in zijn hcl lijst zetten maar in de praktijk niet laten werken?
Check de revisie van je barebone en al deze cpu's worden gewoon gegarandeerd onderdersteund.

Ik begrijp je zekerheid en vertrouwen, maar waarom melden ze dit niet in de specs? Lijkt me redelijk cruciaal (en zelfs positieve reclame), dat ze Dual Core aankunnen.

Enfin, ik ga er gewoon voor, en als ze niet werken klop ik bij Asus aan inderdaad
