Het leek me leuk om eens een Freekick topic (Inmiddels 25.000 leden) te maken. Waarom? Het is op enkele essentiële vlakken heel anders dan Hattrick. Het volgend stukje komt van de website van Freekick en legt de verschillen uit. De stijl waarin het geschreven is helaas tamelijk pro-freekick maar laat je als hardcore-hattricker (zoals ook ikzelf) er niet door afschrikken. Grootste voordeel t.o.v. HT vind ik de training. Iedere speler kan trainen en dat gebeurt ook continue en niet op enkel de vrijdag ochtend. Afijn, lees het maar eens en laat horen of je speelt.. of eens wilt proberen. (TOG = The Other Game = Hattrick) Freekick focuses on matches, tactics and transfers. I didn't like the way TOG had so much focus on things that had nothing to do with what happened on the field. In FK, there is no "ideal" tactic that will work every week - you need to look at your strengths and your opponents weaknesses to win. Freekick's interface takes a wee while to come to grips with, but once you get the hang of it it is nice to use. Transfers are a bit different - you see the average bid, not the highest bid, so I would recommend studying transfers in FK to try and determine what you should/shouldn't pay for certain players. Perhaps the most important thing about FK is realising that players need to be strong in multiple skills to be useful. ie, a striker with Scoring 90, Offensive Positioning 20 and Ball Control 20 will be almost useless in FK, because they will never be in a position to actually shoot. Study the manual where there is a table for the skills needed for each position, it will be very good to know. Also, the way potentials work in FK is a bit different to TOG IIRC. Look for young players with high potentials in complementary skills - they could be future stars. Also, note that players can be trained above their potentials, but at a much slower rate. Every skill is important for outfielders. But some of them are more.. Another big difference is the 'Transfer-Salary': So always remember, that there will be high costs following, if you buy an expensive Player!! In Freekick you CAN win games against better teams, with the right tactics. The game does not only depend (in TOG the midfield has a MUCH greater influence) on your midfield. You don't, but I mean don't win a game by just having a good midfield! In FreeKick you always know WHY you've won or lost. You just have to read the matchreport. In TOG there is at least one game per season after which I have no idea why I won/lost due to statistics and matchreport!! And that's why every newbie should from the start always take the time to read the matchreports !!! >> HT user in FK tip: Assume that information in match reports are relevant instead of the opposite. Unlike in HT spending a lot of money on the youth is not a necessity. It is one way to play the game but not the only one. You can be very successful manager by spending your money on buying your players in the transfer list as well. This is a huge difference between HT and Freekick. Especially if you are a new manager, you should consider waiting a while before investing in the youth big ammounts of money. Oh, and if you do choose to train youths and pour money into them, don't bloody sell every good draft you get! It's not a good way of getting money, it probably won't cover what you put into the youth squad every week, and you are letting go of players. Economy is not the focus of the game, money only represents what players you could get for it. Of course if you have a great player that just doesn't fit in to your team, like if you only ever play passing and draft a FW with great AE but can't use him, then by all means sell. If you desperately need the money, then by all means - sell him. But do not make selling drafts your strategy at making money. If you want money and don't need young players, just stop investing. It's far easier and far more cost-efficient. As a TOG player you should remember that: - Constitution is important for all positions!!! - Training is not limited to those playing that week - no home and away games - no home team advantage - no weather forecasts - playing Pressing in FK creates more chances, not less (In TOG Pressing means always challenge rivals attack. Always try to get ball. But, in FK it means get on rivals under pressure.) - different rating system for players - no random goalscorers - no monetary bonuses for winning the league, having the topscorer etc. - senior players train faster then youngsters, not the other way around - players in FK have a stamina level - TOG tactics or strategies will not work in FK - One-skilled players are useless - Get to understand that every (outfield) player uses every skill at some point - Midfielders do some of the defending - Don't trust your Head Coach to do anything, learn what to do and do it yourself (even if you set it badly, you learn from it) - Players low in stamina should generally not be used - Experimentation is the key to knowledge - Friendlies have no effect on your players. They start the game as if they had full stamina, and after the game they return to whatever level of stamina they had. Don't use friendlies to get experience or extra training for youngsters, just use them to experiment on tactics and to have some fun. |

). Ik was zelf niet zo actief in de community van Freekick zelf. Ik las de fora wel soms, maar reageerde nooit.
bal richting goal en zijn keeper was aarzelend en maakte een 
redding en had de bal toch. Ik verloor uiteindelijk na strafschoppen.
