Asus P5W-DH wifi SLOW !

Mhhh..

Got a P5w-dh + conroe since a week or so and I can't get good performances out of the built-it wifi client.

I'm using tkip encryption but that should not matter, I get 50% less throughput than my laptop in wifi ;-(

I get about 1.4 megs download from the internet with the wired cable, and it goes down to 500K/s if I switch to wireless .... I should not see so much difference.

Seems it locksup at 54g, good signal, no other client on the AP.

Anyone else is dis-apointed byt the builtin wifi and/or could fix it ?

It's pretty standard that the wifi chip locks up @ 54G. You can only reach higher speeds with turbo wifi cards (or 802.11n).

Je woont al ruim 3 jaar in Nederland of misschien zelfs langer. Waarom probeer je niet gewoon in het Nederlands te schrijven? Daar leer je juist het meeste van Anders komt er nog nooit wat van.
