[WPA-PSK] Netwerk down na syncen PDA op centrino laptop

Het gaat hier misschien om een raar probleem maar ik heb exact de zelfde problemen op mijn Linksys WRT54G router als het onderstaande verhaal:

With PDA's on the decline, more and more people are turning to phones to keep up with their mobile computing needs. Whether you choose Symbian, Palm, Windows CE or Windows 5.0, compatibility issues are almost certain to arise.

Unfortunately, the issues effecting Windows 5.0 devices can affect more than just the user, and in some cases they can bring down an entire network. In short the problem amounts to this: A Centrino equipped laptop connecting to a WPA-PSK encrypted network is used to sync a device running Windows 5.0 via USB and voila the network goes down!

I don't mean a few lost packets or temporary drop in throughput, I mean the network will remain unusable until such time as WPA-PSK encryption is turned off altogether or WEP encryption is opted for instead. While many home users might think "so what," many small and medium sized businesses are becoming concerned.

Considering how useless WEP encryption is for a business (or anyone else for that matter) the solution of turning off WPA or opting for WEP is not really an option. For businesses that don't have the money to pay for dedicated, competent IT staff this can really foul things up!

This problem is present on "newish" phones that run Windows 5.0 including the HTC Strtrc and the O2XDA mini. I had not heard of this problem before, so if anyone has ever experienced this problem leave a comment or find a spot in our forums to discuss it so we can determine how widespread it is.

Heb nu mijn beveiliging gezet op WEP en dit werkt perfect, graag zou ik toch (om veiligheids redenen) gebruik willen maken van WPA.

Hardware:
Acer Aspire 1694 WLMi Centrino proc / Windows XP
Fujitsu Siemens Pocket Loox / WM 2005
Linksys WRT54G (v4)

Ik heb alle hard en software geupdate met laatste drivers / firmware maar zonder oplossing

Ik kan hier op internet heel weinig over vinden, ben eigenlijk alleen op het bovenstaande artikel gekomen maar daar geen oplossing gevonden.

Zijn er meer mensen met dit probleem? Of eventueel iemand met een oplossing / workaround?

Ik heb precies hetzelfde gehad met mijn centrino notebook.
In mijn geval ging het dan om een naar wm2005 geupgrade iPaq HX4700, wanneer ik de pda in de cradle deed viel de wireless verbinding weg en was niet meer terug te krijgen.

Notebook: Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo 3438G (2200bg dingetje)
PDA: HX4700
Router: Linksys WRT54G v2 fw: v4.30.1, HyperWRT 2.1b1 +tofu13c en WPA-PSK

Ik wilde toen wm2005 gewoon ff testen, maar nadat dit al gebeurde, ben ik weer terug gegaan naar wm2003se, aangezien wm2005 toch al slecht stond aangeschreven ivm trage performance.
Ik kreeg mijn verbindign destijds echt niet meer aan de praat zonder de wireless nic te verwijderen en opnieuw te installeren.

Mijn wireless nic is ook intel 2200bg.

Op mijn PDA (pocket loox) stond al wm2005, dan is "downgraden" naar wm2003 niet meer mogelijk toch?
