ARCserve 11.1 en Iomega REV-drive

ik heb ARCserve 11.1 geinstalleerd op een win2k3 machine met een Iomega REV drive.

Een job aangemaakt, ziet er allemaal prima uit. Hij lijkt ook te backuppen. (zo'n 20GB). Wanneer je tijdens het proces op de tape kijkt komt er ook data bij. Maar als hij klaar is staat er maar 500MB op de tape. Dat is vreemd aangezien compression uit staat.

Ik heb de job opnieuw aangemaakt. Andere tapes geprobeerd. Tapes geformatteerd. Ik kan prima lezen en schrijven vanuit windows naar de tapes.

even een update. Hij overschrijft om één of ander reden de eerder geschreven data op de tape.

Het is opgelost door als source alleen de D schijf te kiezen en met ntbackup de data van C: naar D: te backuppen. Niet helemaal mooi die oplossing maar het werkt.

Ik heb hier ook last van gehad. Arcserve 11.1, Windows 2000 en Rev. In mijn geval was het opnieuw installeren van Arcserve en het toepassen van de meest recente patch de oplossing.

Ik kan nu zonder problemen meerdere sessies op mijn rev-drive backuppen en weer restoren.
