Ik ben al een tijdje aan het proberen om mijn nieuw ingerichte 2k3r2 server "Mail" te DCPromoén tot domeincontroller maar ik krijg de volgende foutmelding:

The active directory installation cannot continue because the forest is not prepared for installing windows Server 2003. use the adprep command line tool to prepare both the forest and the domain.
"the version of the Active Directory schema of the source forest is not compatible with the version of the active directory on this computer
De foutmelding is op zich niet zo bijzonder ingewikkeld, daar het niet dat ons domein een 2k3 server heeft welke de schema operations master van de forest is. ik zou dan denken dat ons domein wel een 2k3 domein is. Ook omdat het vorige week wel gelukt is om "proxy" te installeren en te promoten tot DC.
Domein bestaat uit:
File: w2k, DC
Exchange: w2k, DC
Proxy: w2k3, DC, schema operations master.
en dan Mail: w2k3 rl2, en in de toekomst exchange 2003+
DC
als deze DC is wil ik de 2000 machines demoten en twee 2k3 DC overhouden.
ow, en misschien niet onbelangrijk Domain Functional Level is "Mixed" als dit verder geen kwaad kan wil ik dit wijzigen in "Native" we hebben nl. geen NT4.
Ik hoop dat iemand kan helpen, want op internet en tweakers kom ik alleen de tip, Adprep draaien tegen. en dat is al gebeurt.
