Hallo,
Sinds enige dagen ben ik bezig om te proberen de data, of het liefst weer een werkend LVM, te krijgen. Dit op een Debian 2.4.19 machine.
De setup is als volgt:
Hda1 / 40gb bootdisk
Hdd1 320gb data }
} samen middels LVM in VG incoming als LV /dev/incoming
Hde1 / hdg1 data }
Nu is hdg1 laats uitgevallen door slecht contact wat afkomstig was van de datakabel, na deze te vervangen was de disk weer zichtbaar.
Dit heeft echter tot gevolg dat het LV incoming ineens verdwenen was
En het resultaat van een pvdisplay als volgt uiziet:

Helaas was hierna de VG incoming verdwenen en tevens /dev/incomming.
vgscan en lvscan scan gaf iets van group c.q. volume “doesn’t exist”
Ik heb alle 12 backup configs middels vgcfgrestore geprobeerd maar geen gaf het gewenste resultaat. Na de config met de verdwenen VG heb ik nog een keer geprobeerd de VG incoming opnieuw aan te maken zonder resultaat.

Tijdens mijn zoektocht heb ik nog een blog gevonden waar iets dergelijks beschreven staat maar toch niet geheel gelijk aan mijn probleem (immer geen van de oude configs werken). En de PV UUID’s zijn een stuk langer
