TS: Ik zou gewoon even een paar uur (of 1 dag wachten).

Wil echt graag mijn oude account terug.

Hello X,
Thank you for writing to Microsoft Passport Network Technical Support.
I apologize for the delay in responding to your e-mail. We appreciate your patience as we handle every customer request as quickly as possible.
This is Y and I understand that you are locked out from accessing your X@Y.COM account. I also see that you are unable to reset your password using your secret answer. I am aware of the importance of this matter and I am very much willing to provide the necessary assistance you need to resolve this concern.
For security reasons, Microsoft Passport Network automatically sets a "Locked Out" period for every wrong attempt in signing in. The "Locked Out" period prevents access to your account even when correct information has finally been supplied. The duration of the locked out period is indefinite. In this situation, you have two options:
- Reset your password in order to access your Passport Network account, or
- Wait for 24 hours until the period is over.
However, for your convenience, I have now unblocked your account and invite you to disable the "Automatic Sign-in" feature of Microsoft Passport Network, as this may be causing the error message you have been receiving.
Please be informed that the "Automatic Sign-in" feature saves the Microsoft Passport Network account name and password; thus, you can sign in without having to provide them again. However, the saved information will remain the same, even if you change your password, and this could lead to failed attempts in signing in.
To do this, please follow the suggestions I have listed below:
A. Disable the Automatic Sign-In feature for your Windows XP Operating System:
! 1 . Click "Start".
2. Click "Run".
3. Copy and paste this statement, "control keymgr.dll" (without the quotes) in the "Open:" textbox.
4. Click "OK".
5. Select "Passport.Net\* (Passport)" in the "Stored User Names and Passwords" window.
6. Click "Remove".
7. Click "Close".
B. Clear cache and delete cookies using Internet Explorer 6.0:
1. Click "Tools", and then click "Internet Options".
2. Click the "General" tab.
3. Click "Delete Cookies", and click "OK".
4. Click "Delete Files", and click "OK".
5. Click "Clear History", and click "Yes".
6. Click "OK".
Please be advised that when you delete your cookies, your browser will no longer remember passwords that are currently stored.
After you have completed the above instructions, sign in to your account using your current password. Your account should no longer sign in automatically to any Microsoft Passport Network site or service, and you should no longer be prompted with the error message.
For us to investigate your password concern, we will need your cooperation by verifying your account ownership. To do this, please provide the following information completely and accurately:
1. The first and last name
2. The sign in name you are having difficulties w! ith
3. Your date of birth in the form "month/date/year"
4. Your country or region
5. Your state
6. Your ZIP or Postal Code
7. The approximate date of the last time you successfully signed in
8. The exact Microsoft Passport Network site you last visited on your last successful sign in (Example: MSN Hotmail, MSN Messenger, MSN Chat, MSN Games)
9. The approximate date you registered the account
10. A list of as many personal folders you have created in the account aside from the default folders of MSN Hotmail (Example: Inbox, Drafts, Sent Items)
11. The name of your current Internet Service Provider (ISP) and any past ISPs you have used
* An ISP is a company that provides an end user with a connection to the Internet and other similar services, such as e-mail. Examples include MSNIA, EarthLink, and Comcast.
12. The name of the organization that you access the Internet from, if you access the Internet from outside your home
13. The IP address for each computer that you use for the account
* An IP address is a code made up of numbers separated by three dots that identifies a particular computer on the Internet (Example: 222.222.22.0). You can determine your IP address for each computer by visiting http://www.whatismyip.com/ . Upon visiting the site, your IP address should be displayed at the topmost center of the page.
When we receive and verify this information, we can give you the information that you need to reset your password.
X, we look forward to your response soon. If you have other concerns, you may include it in your reply.
Sincerely,
Y
