Even I faced same type of problem while installing warp 3.0 on Pentium 4.
Finally I succeeded in installing it on 1 GB primary partition.
Please follow the following instructions to install Warp 3 Server on Pentium 4 system.
System Configuration Used :-
Machine Specification : Netvista
Type/ Model : 8305-42A
Processor and Bus speed : Pentium-4, 2.4 GHz. 133 MHz
RAM & Harddisk : 256 MB ,40 GB
Problem Description: FDISK was not detecting partitions on the HD. So unable to create partitions.
Problem solution:
1. Download latest IDEDASD.EXE package from the site
http://www.warpupdates.my...glish/inst_diskettes.html
2.1 UPDATING THE INSTALLATION DISKETTES

If you are attempting to install Warp on a hard drive greater than 4.3GB, or your are attempting to
install Warp Server for e-business on a hard drive greater than 30GB, then the Installation diskettes must
be updated.
a. Make a backup copy of your Diskette 1 (D1).
b. Copy the new versions of IBM1S506.ADD, and IBMIDECD.FLT
device driver files from IDEDASD.EXE onto your diskette-1.
c. If the installation diskettes are for Warp Server for e-business,
Warp Server for e-business Convenience Pak, or Warp 4 Convenience Pak,
copy the DASD32.DMD file to your diskette-1 and rename it to
OS2DASD.DMD. Otherwise copy the DASD16.DMD file to your
Diskette-1 and rename it to OS2DASD.DMD.
4. Add the statement SET COPYFROMFLOPPY=1 in the CONFIG.SYS on Diskette 1 &
REM out the following statements in the config.sys of diskette1.
TESTCFG.SYS,
AHA152X.ADD &
AHA164X.ADD.
5. Save the changes.
6. Start the installation with the Installation Diskette.
7. When you are prompted for Diskette 1, use the diskette-1 you modified.
Then install os/2 boot manager from FDISK and create new partitions.
8. Proceed with the installation.
Note:
1. There was not enough space in warp 3 diskette 1 to replace the 3 files IBM1S506.ADD, IBMIDECD.FLT and OS2DASD.DMD.
So I deleted the following two files (Non Adaptec 7800 family).
AHA152X.ADD & AHA164X.ADD & then copied the above 3 files from IDEDASD.EXE into diskette-1.
After that I was able to create new partitions successfully.
Then during first reboot (when the system asks to remove diskette & press Enter) ,
use the both installation diskettes & un REM TESTCFG.SYS statement in the config.sys .
Then exit& restart the system to continue with the installation.
After second reboot , it use to give the following error.
2. HFS0019- There is not enough memory for 386 HPFS cache & heap, correct the error & restart the system.
Solution : goto c:\ibm386fs. Edit hpfs386.ini. change cachesize to 1024 from its default value 241796.
Then restart the system.
