Geforce 6800LE (AGP) on an Asrock939Dual-SATA2

Hi every1,

Sorry i have to write this topic in english but my domain of the dutch language is still very limited.
Well I have a question here that i hope someone can answer.

I just bough an asrock motherboard 939Dual-SATA2. My videocard is a Geforce6800LE (AGP). On the mainboard, there's a sticker on the agp slot that says that i can only use videocard with a voltage not superior of 1.5v. I've been looking on the net but i couldnt find any forum or site with this information.

I would really appreciate is someone could help me with this doubt because i dont have other videocard and the mainboard does not come with vga built-in.

GoT really is a Dutch-language forum. Although as a non-native speaker I can empathise with your troubles learning it, until such time as you manage to master the art of speaking as though you had an incurable disease in your throat - and get the hang of the written language too - I suggest you turn to English-language forum (such as the excellent ones on www.arstechnica.com or www.anandtech.com) for advice. In this case though a simple check of the AGP specs of the card on www.nvidia.com shows it to be AGP 3.0 (8X) compliant. Checking the FAQ of this subforum (or anywhere else treating AGP slots) shows that AGP 3.0 cards support 0.8V at 8X or 1.5V at 4X operation, which, coincidentally perfectly suits the AGP 3.0 slot on your motherboard.

In other words you could have answered your own question by simply referring to the specifications of the chip on the card and the chipset on the motherboard. So why do an English-language post on a Cloggy forum
