Symantec Livestate Recovery + exchange 2000

Ik wil met livestate recovery van symantec elke dag een complete kopie maken van een SBS server naar een SNAP server. Van de SNAP server wordt weer een backup gemaakt naar tape, zodat de data ook buiten het pand gebracht kan worden.

Na een test restore met livestate werkte exchange niet meer. Veel problemen met de database. Dit kan natuurlijk opgelost worden, maar dat neemt teveel tijd in beslag.

Hebben jullie misschien een goede tip of beter idee hoe ik dit kan oplossen, zodat ik niet de complete exchange database moet gaan lopen repareren?

LiveState Recovery supports the imaging of Exchange servers. However, proper steps need to be taken when you create recovery points of an Exchange server.

Exchange Server 2000

As with other active databases, if an Exchange database is not quiesced before you create a recovery point, then when you restore the database, it will most likely contain corruption. Because Exchange Server 2000 is not VSS-aware, an administrator must stop the database before a recovery point is created. You can use batch files to accomplish this task; these batch files can be included in a scheduled backup job.
