[XP] hotfix installeren met hfx.exe

Fout in titel : hfm.exe moet hfx.exe zijn

Ik moet op mijn laptop een hotfix installeren, normaal geproken is dat gewoon een .exe bestand maar deze niet. Ik heb gelezen op de microsoft site dat er een programmaatje is: hfx.exe waar het wel mee moet werken. maar ik kan nergens vinden waar ik dat programmaatje kan downloaden .

Kan iemand mij helpen....?

Waarom niet de laptop aan het netwerk hangen en dan updaten via de microsoft site ? En het bestand hfm.exe kan ik niet. Ook kan ik er niets over vinden.

Wat heeft dit met Microsoft te maken? Je linkt naar de Asus site, het lijkt me dat je dan daar wilt kijken wat je moet doen om het te installeren. Ondertusssen verplaats ik even WOS --> Software Algemeen. Aha ik zie het. Je linkt naar de Asus site maar die hebben een MS fix op hun server geplaatst (Copyright? )

Haal Q813383 gewoon via de MS site. En hfx.exe kan je ook via MS zelf krijgen. Maar wat is er mis met gewoon dubbelklikken op de executable in de juiste taal? (Disclaimer: ik heb het niet geprobeerd )

En ik doe een titeledit. Overigens kan je een volgende keer beter even middels de topicreport aangeven dat de titel niet klopt, dan ziet een moderator dat en zal die het kunnen aanpassen

Ik heb de hotfix al gedownload maar ik kan hfx.exe niet vinden:

gezocht op hfx

gezocht op hfx.exe

En als ik op google zoek naar hfx.exe krijg ik tig sites hoe hfx werkt maar niet waar ik hem kan downen

Als ik dubbelklik op de executable dan pak hij de executable uit en krijg ik:
amdk7.sys
hotfix.txt
k7qfe.cat
k7qfe.inf
symbols\sys\amdk7.pdb

Zoals gezegd en zoals ook in het artikel staat: neem even contact op met Microsoft. Maar het lijkt er op dat het al zit ingebakken in SP2?

Ja dat heb ik ook nog ergens gelezen dat hij in SP2 zit
Dat ga ik eens uitzoeken

De fix zit inderdaad in SP2, maar misschien dat je ook nog op windowsupdate kan kijken of ie daar staat:

Jup, SP2 gedownload en geinstalleerd en doet het perfect!

REchtermuisknop op de INF-file en kiezen voor de optie "install" had waarschijnlijk ook wel gewerkt
