TURNTABLE to COMPUTER problems

EQUIPMENT:-
Win XPpro Sp2 3.0 G/Hz Dual Intel Processors and ASUS P5LD2 motherboard with HD Audio on board

Technics (turntable) SL-1210mk2
Technics (AMP) SU-V570 PXS cap
Technics (DCC digi cassette player) RS-DC10

I connected the SL-1210mk2 into PHONO on the SU-V570 (and earthed it)
then connected the TAPE LINE REC/OUT via JACK PLUG to the BLUE REAR LINE-IN on my motherboard

BUT ... I can not get any signal.
Nothing is MUTED and the BLUE REAR LINE-IN is seen.
I have tried all possibilites and have ran through the connections via tel with friends.
Everyone says it is connected correctly.

In the beginning I thought I did have sound but it turned out to be my WEB CAM mic and on another occasion my HEADSET MIC picked up external sound ... but not directly from my AMP. But when I disconnect them I still dont get any noise.

I think I have added all details but please ask if you need more.

Has anyone else had this problem .... I have been busy for about a week now and am really frustrated now.

probably you have to select from which source you would like to record
double click on the volume-icon (right, bottom of the screen) and then menu 'options', there you choose 'properties'. now select 'record' and see if 'line in' is selected (if not, select it now)
click 'OK'
finally check box under the fader of 'line in'
this should do the job...

I am going to see if setting my DCC player on PAUSE /REC shall give a signal
