Bij mij op 't werk willen ze ingaan op een KPN-actie dat je voor 2 mille een HP Brio hebt. Edoch, ik keek even naar de specs, en ja hoor daar staat-ie dan: Intel 810 chipset. Ik denk, nee, maar misschien is het voor officegebruik nog wel wat. Of totaal niet?

hoe groot is jouw werkgever?

als hij wat groter is kan je bijna bij iederen pc boer een beter aanbieding krijgen.

en het is volgens mij de i820 chipset die zuigt maar ik kan het mis hebben.

Intel has found some boards using the MTH (memory translator hub) may be sensitive to system noise under extreme conditions, and this issue may manifest itself in intermittent system reboots or system hangs during operation. This noise sensitivity may result in data loss and/or corruption. Intel has placed the MTH component and an Intel motherboard that uses the part on shipment hold.

Introduced in systems in November 1999, the memory translator hub is a component that enables SDRAM. The MTH component is used on some boards and in some systems using the Intel® 820 Chipset, including the Intel® CC820 Desktop Board Family with SDRAM. This issue does not impact boards or systems using the Intel 820 Chipset with RDRAM* memory.

Given that this issue has just recently come to light, it's possible that your place of purchase is still developing their support processes and getting full details to their customer support/tech support centers. Intel is working with its customers (computer makers, motherboard makers and distribution channels) to notify computer users of this issue and to offer a replacement. We suggest you wait a few days to give them time to finalize their support schedule and training

niet enorrem groot, dat van die 820 heb ik overal al gelezen, ik werd alleen de laatste tijd steeds onzekerder over de 810, daarom vraag ik het ff

grootste nadeel van de 810 is de klote videochip die ook nog eens het enige AGP slot opslurpt. Ofwel evt. andere videokaarten kunnen alleen van PCI type zijn ...

Voor officegebruik is het gewoon goed te doen hoor. Daar heb je geen voodoo20 8000 voor te hebben. Dus agp boeit niet zo. Alles is geintegreerd dus lekker makelijk te installeren.... perfect voor office!

1 LED is niet genoeg

Voor die tweeduizend piek mag er wel een 17" bij... Of 128MB ram...
Ik zou dit dus echt niet doen

Dit is meer een veredelde typmachine, dan een bak waar je ook in de toekomst wat mee kunt.

Ze zijn bij mij op het werk nu ook aan het onderzoeken of een PC-priveproject tot de mogelijkheden behoort. Ik heb al aangegeven dat ik er niet eens naar wil kijken als ik dat ding niet van scratch op kan bouwen...
