Ik wil graag jullie ervaringen en meningen weten over dergelijke programma's. Ze zijn toch belangerijk om je pc in goede vorm te houden.
Helaas kan ik nog geen freeware registercleaner vinden. Ik heb wel deze kunnen vinden.

Ik heb hier ook een algemene 'cleaner', genaamd BeClean. Geen idee hoe hij is in vergelijking met andere programma's maar het is echt een no nonsence programma. Het programma gebruikt bij mij zo'n 10 mb van het interne geheugen, eigenlijk ook geen idee of dat veel of weinig is voor zo'n programma, maar het reageert goed

Heb nog nooit een register cleaner gebruikt en gok dat mn OS nu al ruim 5 jaar vlekkeloos draait.
Gewoon opletten met wat je installeerd, en altijd netjes deïnstalleren en niet zomaar de map wegflikkeren.
Dus snap niet waarom je het zulke belangirjke software vind...

@ FrickY: draai dan eens zo'n cleaner. Je komt gegarandeerd aan de 1000 fouten. (daarna kun je aangeven dat ze verholpen moeten worden, dus er is dan nog niets schadelijks gebeurd) Van die hoeveelheid fouten schrik je de eerste keer iig wel. De computer wordt er echt weer sneller door. Ik gebruikte Regsupreme, maar de probeerperiode is afgelopen. (dat is een maand, dacht ik)

Ik vond BeClean ook heel goed werken... Freeware, doet z'n werk goed en snel. En ziet er best nog leuk uit ook .

Ik heb altijd regcleaner gebruikt eerst toen het nog freeware was.
Nu is het helaas niet meer zo. Het heet nu regsupreme(pro). Je kan wel 30 dagen uitproberen. Het is snel en vind wel aardig wat maar niet alles. Al draai ik 1 van de andere programma's in mijn startpost vind ik er wel nog wat.
Dus aardig programma, genoeg optie, snel, overzichtelijk maar helaas geen freeware.

Misschien moet ik wel gewoon alle cleaners installeren. En 1 regelmatige gebruiken. En de andere af en toe nog laten nascannen. Het probleem is dat er geen testen voor dit soort programmas zijn.

Ik ben al een tijdje op zoek naar een (freeware) tool om automatisch alles wat naar een specifiek pad verwijst, uit de Registry te verwijderen.

Bijvoorbeeld: alles uit het register verwijderen waar het pad C:\Program Files\ApplicatieX\ in voorkomt, maar zonder dat deze directory ook daadwerkelijk verwijderdt wordt.

(vergelijkbaar met F3 - zoeken op padnaam, en Delete in RegEdit, maar dan automatisch)

Nou, dit bijvoorbeeld

Ik ben al een tijdje op zoek naar een (freeware) tool om automatisch alles wat naar een specifiek pad verwijst, uit de Registry te verwijderen.

Bijvoorbeeld: alles uit het register verwijderen waar het pad C:\Program Files\ApplicatieX\ in voorkomt, maar zonder dat deze directory ook daadwerkelijk verwijderdt wordt.

(vergelijkbaar met F3 - zoeken op padnaam, en Delete in RegEdit, maar dan automatisch)

Ik wil namelijk een padnaam in kunnen geven, en hoppeta, Delete All, zonder dat de mappen zelf worden weggemikt, die moeten namelijk blijven staan, samen met alle data die er in zit. Dit kan ik ook in regcleaner niet vinden.

Overigens werkt die regcleaner onder XP alleen als de compatibility mode in Windows 2000 wordt gezet.

Laat dat laatste maar zitten, die regcleaner werkt absoluut niet goed onder Windows XP SP2.
Als je naar de site van de maker gaat, dan blijkt het een verouderde versie te zijn van de huidige producten van http://www.jv16.org/

Tuneuputilities werkt goed, je kunt ook zoeken naar strings etc alleen kun je die dan alleen stuk voor stuk verwijderen en niet allemaal ineens. En het programma is niet gratis. (wel trialware)

Het programma stelt je tevens in staat om je hele XP-settings door te lichten qua verbindingsnelheden, processorgebruik, windows-opties etc.

De loze bagage wordt natuurlijk eruit gemikt zodat je registry sneller wordt geladen: ook is er minder kans op fouten doordat je registry 'schoon' is van orphan verwijzingen. Dus ja: het heeft wel degelijk zin

Kheb net A1click ultra pc cleaner geïnstalleerd want mijn explorer.exe is echt enorm instabiel , constant crashen enzo.
omfg , 17000 24000 problemen and counting
en 2 3.5 GB (veronderstel dat dat nutteloze data is )

het grootste gedeelte lijkt in cache en temp folders te zitten.

Uiterst dubieus onderzoek waar je niet direct echt waarde aan moet gaan hechten. Effectiviteit is bv niet goed gemeten en de persoonlijke voorkeuren van de reviewer lijken ook aardig zwaar mee te wegen. Daarbij vind ik opties als "Clean Unneeded Junk, Temp, and Obsolete files" nou niet echt iets voor een pure reg cleaner.

Wat is je eigen ervaring met deze tool? No offence maar aan commercieel reklame geblaat van een website heeft echt niemand iets. Zeker niet omdat andere producenten met dezelfde kreten "the fastest and best" schermen in hun reclame praatjes.

Zelf heb ik goede ervaringen met RegSupreme. Kleine programma, redelijk goede detectie, mogelijkheid tot het maken van een backup zodat eventueel te veel weggehaalde zaken kunnen worden teruggezet. Hiernaast is ook Regsupreme behoorlijk snel.

Overigens snap ik sommige functies die in de eerder genoemde test worden opgenoemd niet echt. Wat moet je bv met een scheduler in een reg cleaner? Je dient imho altijd de te verwijderen registersleutels nog met de hand te controleren. Dit omdat veel van de programma's ook regelmatig toch iets te veel willen weghalen of zaken die je net niet wilde verwijderen. Daarnaast kun je elk programma natuurlijk schedulen met de normale scheduler van Windows zelf.

ik het volgende:
