[XP64] WMIxWDM Event ID:106

Hallo,
Enige tijd geleden heb ik het bouwen van mijn nieuwe pc afgerond:

Amd 64 3500+ Winchester
Zalman CNPS7700-Cu processorkoeler
MSI K8 NEO2 Platinum, NForce 3 Ultra, socket 939
2048 MB OCZ pc3200 400 mhz ram
480 gig h.d
Geforce 6800 GT @ Ultra geflashed
Artic cooler rev 5
Audigy ZS 2
Dvd recorder
Tagan 480 watt voeding

Hierop draait Windows X64 zonder problem,
Internetten, muziek luisteren, films kijken gaat allemaal goed.

Het probleem doet zich alleen voor als ik ga gamen.
Bij b.v de fear demo merk ik soms een korte hapering waarna het spel soms wel doorgaat maar soms ook de hele computer blijft hangen.
Als ik daarna in windows kijk zie ik een geel driehoekje rechtsonder in de taakbalk.
Als ik bij de event viewer kijk wat het probleem percies is staat er:

"WMIxWDM Event ID:106
Machine Check Event reported is a corrected error.

Ik heb geen idee hoe ik dit weg kan krijgen, het is vervelend omdat spellen hierdoor soms hangen.
Ik heb al geprobeerd om de videokaart terug te flashen maar het probleem bleef.
Iemand enig idee?

Hier las ik het volgende:

I had this exact same problem. yes the problem is between the ram and the CPU
some of the lower opterons, (40,42,44 i beleive) have problems with PC3200 ram. I beleive that they are only compatable with PC2700 or 2100. I fix this problem by selecting all failsafe defaults in my bios and it somehow worked. I had triggered this problem when i switched from an opteron 842 with 1 GB ram on that cpu channel, with 2 opteron 240s putting 512 ram on each cpu ram channel.

i dont see any other reason for this other than a bug with beta 64-bit drivers or with BIO's which are available at the moment. Im sure that given time the nature of this problem will be resolved with new drivers etc unless it is a hardware issue.

One thing that seems to fix the problem for some people is to increase the voltage supplied to your RAM. In the BIOS setup, try changing from 2.5V to 2.6 or even 2.7V even if for a short period. It may clear up the problem.

the way i fixed this problem was to use a set of WHQL drivers

Dus opzich lijkt het me wel handig als je alle drivers helemaal bijwerkt, zodat die in ieder geval up-to-date zijn. Ook de driver van je CPU en misschien is het ook wel slim als je, je BIOS bijwerkt naar de nieuwste versie. En check je geheugen ook even met Memtest.
