The product I received was in perfect condition; no scratches & everything worked first time. I asked Komplett some technical questions and found them friendly and helpful.
I bought this for use in a car, unfortunately the contrast and brightness of the display is inadequate for use in bright conditions - it is impossible to use it for navigation, movies etc in a standard car when the sun is shining. In the back of a van or with window blinds/heavily tinted windows it could be ok.
Ironically at night it is too bright unless you can adjust the brightness of the graphic card's output.
Unfortunately I don't have any other 7" displays to compare this against, but would expect competitor's products to be similar - I wouldn't be surprised if they use the same Sharp 800x480 LCD panel. So until cheap high brightness & contrast transreflective LCD technology becomes available with higher clarity touch-screen layers - which could be a long time away, this is probably still a good choice.
Another issue of a display of this size is finding a video card that will support the native resolution of 800x480. I'm running 800x600, which causes pixel-sharing, making text hard to read.
