Ik heb een laptop gekocht in de VS. Nu is er iets mis met mijn scherm. Ik wil hem repareren in Nederland. De travelmates van Acer hebben een International Travelers Warranty dus ik kan hem in Nederland laten repareren. Nu lees ik op de Acer site het volgende:
Who may claim under the Acer ITW?
During the term (as defined below) of the Acer ITW, only “bona fide travelers” who are in possession of a copy of the original sales invoice of the notebook may bring claims under this Acer ITW. For the purpose of the Acer ITW, a "bona fide traveler” is a person temporarily (for a consecutive time period of up three months) present outside the territorial scope of the Local Warranty covering the respective notebook without the intention of establishing even a temporary residence or domicile. Acer's ITW Service Centers may require reasonable proof of residency to verify the bona fide traveler status of any claimant. Customers establishing a temporary residence without the geographic area of validity of the Local Warranty covering their notebook are encouraged to enter into a service agreement with a local Acer representative.
