Refresh rate gaat weer terug na reboot van suse 9.3

ik zit weer eens met een probleempje met suse linux 9.3.
namelijk:
als ik de refresh rate op 60hz instel dan gaat hij als ik weer opnieuw met opgestart terug naar 138hz...

ik wil hem op 60hz omdat ik deze linux ook op school wil gebruiken en daar zijn tft schermpjes die natuurlijk niet 138hz aankunnen.

weet iemand hoe ik de refresh vast kan zetten of een andere manier om dit op te lossen..
(ik wil wel graag kde blijven gebruiken)

Het zou goed kunnen dat X zelf de refreshrate bepaald bij het starten. Dan gebruikt hij 60Hz op school en 138 Hz thuis. Wel een belachelijke hoge refresh rate trouwens. Ruimte genoeg om je schermresolutie omhoog te gooien.

ja die 138 heeft hij helemaal zelf ingesteld bij een resolutie van 1024x768.
ik heb een 19" scherm thuis van iiyama de hm903 video kaart die ik hier heb is een 9800 pro @ xt.
op school hebben ze 17" tft's en als videokaart de x300 se.

dus wat kan ik doen om op school de refresh rate 60 te hebben en thuis 138 (of wat lager).
want nu start hij dus altijd op met 138 ook op school en dat werkt dus niet!

Refreshrates kan je controleren in:

/etc/X11/xorg.conf

Wat je kan proberen is via configure desktop de resolutie instellen, de refreshrate op 60 zetten en vervolgens aanvinken om deze settings te gebruiken bij het opstarten.
Even een init 3 en init 5 om te kijken of de settings daadwerkelijk bewaard worden

het vinkje werkt! (dat is al heel wat)
alleen nu heb ik een nieuw probleem en dat is dat ik alleen maar 138 hz kan kiezen bij 1024x768 bij 800x600 kan ik wel lager.....

ik kan nu 60 70 75 en 85 gebruiken als refresh rate.
opzich zou het nog wel wat hoger mogen maar ik ben hier al heel blij mee!
