no more PTYs

[trinite_t]

Ik ben bezig met het inrichten van een (gentoo) linux servertje, nu loop ik tegen een probleem aan dat ik nog niet eerder tegen ben gekomen. Als ik via ssh(client: putty) screen wil gebruiken onder een gewone (lees: NIET root gebruiker) krijg ik de mededeling:

verder geeft het log aan:

Ik kan op google en zelfs op GoT niets vinden over dit probleem, ook kom ik er zelf niet uit... Ik gok dat het iets met rechten te maken heeft (omdat root het wel kan) maar weet het niet zeker. Ook weet ik niet of het probleem er is als ik lokaal werk, aangezien die pc > 120 km van mijn huis staat..
Iemand een oplossing?

Mja, maar hij geeft ook op maar 1 tty de foutmelding

Volgens mij moet daar wel

none on /dev/pts type devpts (rw)

tussen staan, anders krijg je deze foutmelding ook... (zoiets had ik iig tijdens een LFS install)

Als ie er niet staat, moet je geloof ik

in je /etc/fstab zetten, maar daar moet je ff de docs op naslaan...

Een pty zoals je ze wil gebruiken is voor zover ik weet virtueel, bijvoorbeeld voor sshd waar je niet direct verbinding maakt via hardware. Mogelijk dat Gentoo het voor standaard users de zaak binnen een soort van wrapper opent, waardoor je ook een pty nodig hebt.

Ik heb zelf de PTY die de kernel mee levert helemaal uitgezet (legacy stuff), standaard staat het aan voor zover ik weet. Maar er is nog wel ergens een optie die wel aan moet blijven dacht ik, even zoeken.
