[alsa] SB Live 24-bit en gentoo probleem

Ik heb een paar dagen geleden een nieuwe SB Live! 24 bit gekocht, maar ik krijg hem niet werkend.

Heb het al een heel eind werkend, ik heb een dsp apparaat met mixer etc.

Maar als ik hem met alsamixer open is er een pcm of master kanaal?

Andere kaarten:

Alsa en drivers is in de kernel gecompiled.

Andere onboard card werkt nog steeds.

De CA0106 is voor de Audigy LS-chip. Die wordt inderdaad verkocht als Live! 24bit (ten onrechte? ), maar ik zou het toch nog even checken als ik jou was. Bij mij:

En afaik zit de CA0106-alsa-driver niet standaard in de linux-kernel en heb ik de drivers dus gemaakt vanaf de alsa-source.

Overigens is de CA0106 nog niet helemaal stable en heb ik hier best ok geluid, maar vooral de OSS-Emulatie van alsa in deze driver laat nogal te wensen over. Ik zou dus gewoon even alsa aanhouden in plaats van dsp.

Is dus idd de goede, de driver zit er bij mij ingebakken (zelf gedaan, dus weet het zeker, anders krijg je ook geen dsp/mixer/etc devices)

En ook al laat hij te wensen over cat /dev/urandom > /dev/dsp2 zou toch ruis moeten geven?
En de kaart zou toch iets van pcm en master moeten hebben?

Ik heb geen master of pcm in alsamixer. Ik heb enkel "Analog F" open staan, zoals het in mijn alsamixer heet.

welk device gebruik jij om je geluid heen te sturen?
