[ervaring] maxtor Diamond max 10 en quickview serie

Onlangs heb ik een maxtor diamond max 10 besteld (6B250S0) Deze is echter niet meer leverbaar, en de webshop wil me er een quickview model (de 6L250S0) voor in de plaats bieden.
Op de site van maxtor staan geen specs te lezen van deze laatste schijf, ik kan dus niet de read/write performance opzoeken, om op die manier een vergelijk te maken tussen beide schijven.

De webshop heeft mij aangeraden om voor de nieuwe schijf te kiezen om deze " gewoon beter " zou zijn. De nieuwe schijf zou ook beter zijn, " omdat Maxtor geen slechtere schijven op de markt brengt, omdat het een nieuw model is, is deze dus per definitie beter " Lariekoek als je het mij vraagt.

Volgens mij is de quickview serie meer geschikt voor home theatres, en dus minder geschikt voor een desktop setting.

Iemand al ervaring opgedaan met de quickview serie? Is het raadzaam om te kiezen voor deze serie als ik hem in een desktop setting wil gebruiken?

Ps. beide schijven zijn 250 Gb, S-ATA met 16 mb cache, 7200 rpm

Ik zou voor de Daimondmax 10 gaan aangezien deze volgens mij sneller is en meer functies heeft.

Het gekke is dat er ook nergens (althans ik heb ze nog niet kunnen vinden) technische specificaties van de 6L250S0 zijn te lezen ( oa read/write performance)

Ik denk niet dat dat nodig is. Als jij een DMax10 wilde, ging je waarschijnlijk voor performance. De Quickview is een schijf bedoeld voor inbouw in DV-recorders. Het is dus aannemelijk dat prestaties zijn opgeofferd ten gunste van een laag geluidsniveau (zowel bij idle als bij seeking). Je wilt immers niet dat je huiskamerspullen lawaai maken.

Ik zou die Quickview niet nemen. Het is gewoon geen desktopschijf.

Ik heb met google gevonden dat de sl250s0 de versie zonder lood is.

Ik heb Maxtor maar een mailtje gestuurd over de verschillen, aangezien ik ook een 6L versie ipv een 6B heb gekregen bij mijn bestelling.
