WL-108 en Windows Update

Configuratie: WinXP SP2, draadloos naar WL-108 wireless router/adsl-modem. Geen enkel probleem, twee pc's op aangeloten. Internet werkt zoals het hoort en ook onderling is er contact. Probleem: Windows Update werkt niet. Evenals het downloaden van MSN Messenger: alles dat van microsoft moet worden gedownload, werkt niet. Alle instellingen nagelopen. Staan, voorzover ik kan zien, goed.
Verbinding gemaakt zonder router, gewoon met oud USB-adsl-modem. Windows Update? Geen probleem. MSN Messenger downloaden? Geen probleem.
Zit ik weer achter m'n router/firewall/adsl-modem: géén update, geen msn.
Ligt dus aan router.
DMZ aangezet; biedt geen soelaas. Alle poorten opengezet van búitenaf (die van binnenaf staan default open); géén Windows Update en MSN. Nieuwe firmware geflashed; evenmin succes.

Dus nu sta ik met mond vol tanden. Wie heeft enig idee?

Heb andere installaties geprobeerd, van WinXP; geen verschil. Zonder SP2? Geen verschil.

Geen foutcode. Alleen: de volgende updates konden niet worden geïnstalleerd.

En wat is nu de oplossing (máánden na dato), dankzij niet de geweldige support van Sitecom (acht keer heen en weer mailen zonder resultaat), maar dankzij de leverancierslijn van Sitecom, waar wel opgenomen werd en na tien seconden het antwoord werd gegeven:
Je moet de DNS-adressen van je ISP in de TCP/IP-instellingen van elke pc zetten; dan werkt het wel.
Wie had dat ooit gedacht; het werkte weer perfect.
