Monitor uit bij games onder SuSE9.0

Mijn scherm gaat uit bij een aantal games onder Linux. Hij klikt om naar een andere resolutie te gaan maar gaat dan gewoon stanby staan. En vervolgens moet ik naar een andere console grijpen om daar met top het desbetreffende spel af te schieten... Of je Moet net de mazzel hebben dat een spel reageert op Esc of Ctrl+Q oid.

O.a:

• Frozen Bubble

Ok even wat systeeminfo:

• ASUS A7N8x
• Athlon XPM 2600+ @2100Mhz
• 2x 512 MB
• Ati Radeon 8500le
• LGE Flatron 915FTplus

Hierop draait SuSE linux 9.0 met de laatste updates. Ik draai Xfree 4 met een Ati driver van SuSe. Armagetron GL draait wel fatsoenlijk (130fps) netzoals Racer

Dit heb ik al gedaan:

• Via google gezocht met diverse combinaties
• Via de Tweakers search gezocht
• Op de support database gekeken via indez en gezocht
• Diverse resoluties uitgeprobeerd

Ik hoop dat een van jullie een oplossing weet voor dit vage probleem.

Zoek eens de minimale/maximale horizontal sync en vertical refresh rate van je monitor op, en zet die in de monitor sectie van je XFree86 configuratie.

Als dat niet helpt of niet wil lukken, dan is het handig als je je XFree86 config en log online zet, zodat daar naar gekeken kan worden.

Volgens mij is dat in orde hoor, mijn monitor staat bij de gesupporte modellen... Ik zal zo even de inhoud van de config file posten.

Ik weet niet zeker of het daaraan kan liggen maar staan in je XFree86 config ook alle resoluties tot en met de maximale resolutie die je wil/kunt gebruiken gedefinieerd?

Hmm daar zou ik natuurlijk eens naar kunnen kijken dat programma sax2 maakt iig wel een puinhoop van je config file... Controleren is altijd beter dan vetrouwen natuurlijk
