PC traag, HD Kapot ?

Sinds vorige week gaat mijn pc (medion 8008) plots verschrikkelijk traag. Mijn HD stond wel bijna vol. Ik heb wat plaats gemaakt en gedefragmenteerd. Ik heb ook gecontroleerd op spyware.

De pc start heel traag op. Photoshop openen duurt 2-3 maal langer. Wanneer je een programma opent en er staat muziek op (of zelfs bij de waarschuwingstonen van Windows) dan hapert de muziek heel erg.

Ik heb wat rondgezocht en heb eerst mijn HD gecontroleerd met SeaTools. Alle tests zijn ok behalve de File Structure Test. Betekent dit dat mijn HD kapot gaat of zou een format/re-install volstaan?

If you are experiencing a hardware error, you should isolate
the cause and replace the failing component. If you are unsure how

verify that all errors have been repaired. If errors continue to
occur, the system may not be stable. Again, contact a computer

Je zou kunnen proberen om eens alle partities te verwijderen en een volledige format te doen. Ook zou je even kunnen kijken wat je lees/schrijfsnelheden en seektimes zijn.

Ik heb de harddisk op de andere kabel gestoken en de snelheid is nu weer normaal. Ik ga morgen een nieuwe kabel kopen en dan nog eens alles testen.

Mocht dat niet helpen zou ik eens fdisk /mbr proberen.

Ik zou voordat je hier post eens proberen te formatteren. De problemen die je beschrijft kunnen door tal van zaken veroorzaakt worden.

Kijk eerst eens in je device manager of je disk misschien op pio mode is gesprongen ipv op dma mode, daar wordt je systeem ook über traag van

We kunnen niet uit de topicstart opmaken of je zelf ook maar iets hebt uitgezocht, uitgevonden, uitgeprobeerd danwel uitgesloten met betrekking tot het probleem. En dat is niet de bedoeling hier op GoT. Je had bijvoorbeeld al heel wat info/tips/suggesties kunnen vinden door slechts in de FAQ van dit subforum te kijken: OM FAQ / Beleid. Onder "Mijn schijfconfiguratie is brak, hoe komt dat?" en onder "Mijn harddisk doet vaag, gaat/is het nu kapot?".
