PC3200 synchroon met FSB

Hallo,

ik heb vandaag mn nieuwe CPU (AMD Athlon XP 3000) binnengekregen en meteen mn oude AMD Athlon XP 2200 vervangen. Booten etc. gaat goed, WinXP inloggen ook. Maar ik krijg mn geheugen via BIOS niet synchroon met mn FSB wat frustrerend is aangezien ik vanwege die rede de Athlon 3000 heb aangeschaft.

Ik heb het Asrock K7 Upgrade 880 mobo en de nieuwste BIOS versie (1.3). Behalve de CPU en mobo heb ik een FX 5950 Ultra 3D kaart, een Creative 24 bit soundcard en 1GB PC3200 geheugen verspreid over 4 modules. Verschillende CAS maar zou bij single channel CAS3 toch geen probleem mogen zijn...?

Ik heb elke keer nadat ik een instelling wijzigde in BIOS in CPU Z gekeken naar FSB-memory verhouding. Deze zegt elke keer `memory -66 mHz FSB` en ik heb geen idee waarom.

Settings waarmee ik probeerde

* Single channel/niet single channel/auto
* PC 3200
* CAS 2.5/3.0/auto (2.5 is niet mogelijk met mijn setting maar wel geprobeerd)
* Tolerance-Flexibility off -> PC boot niet als functie `on` staat.

En dit dus in alle mogelijke combinaties. Niks lijkt te werken.

Mijn CPU staat met de jumpers op 200 mHz FSB. Verder niks opvallends ingesteld in BIOS en ook geen OC ofzo. De PDF manual van mn mobo is hier te krijgen - hierin staan ook de BIOS functies: http://www.asrock.com.tw/Drivers/Manual/K7Upgrade_880.pdf

Ik heb zelf die manual doorgespit (staat behalve welke functies kunnen niet veel boeiends in) en ook gezocht op GOT (FAQs aswell). Vind echter niks dus vandaar deze topic.

Kom op zeg, een halve kilometer aan uitdraai is geen topicstart :(

Ga zelf kijken in die uitdraai, er staat de preciese oorzaak tussen (hint: in BIOS staat mem speed gewoon verkeerd ingesteld). We vragen in het PMG Beleid om twee redenen dat je volle specs en settings post, enerzijds dat we iets hebben om vanuit te gaan bij antwoorden, maar anderzijds ook zeker dat je voordat je post zelf even alles op een rij zet, vaak kom je er dan gewoon zelf achter.

Door zo'n lap integraal te posten ipv zelf het wezenlijke van het onbelangrijke te scheiden ontbreekt die tweede stap helemaal. Begin daar dus maar eens mee...
