Rage 2 is an first-person open world shooter video game developed by Avalanche Studios in conjunction with iD Software and published by Bethesda Softworks. The game is the sequel to the 2011 game Rage.

Players assume control of ranger Walker, who is free to explore the game's post-apocalyptic open world.
After being robbed by the Authority, (the primary antagonists of the first game), Walker tears through the Wasteland to seek vengeance and to ultimately end the Authority's oppression.
The game is set in 2165, thirty years after the events of the first game. Humanity has found a way to heal the world, turning regions of the Wasteland into lush jungles, wetlands and even tundra. Trade is growing and a type of "Wild West" society is emerging. The brutal ways of the old world still remain, however, and these new, delicate biomes are under attack by gangs that want to control their resources. The Authority has returned, waging war against anyone who won't follow their rule.

Players are given control over some of Walker's attributes, such as their gender, skills, or attire. Walker is able to wield various firearms and tools to fight against enemies, including returning weapons such as the wingstick. Players can further develop Walker's skills with Nanotrite based powers and as soon as enough energy is collected, activate a mode called Overdrive. As a result, Walker's guns do more damage, enemies drop more energy and he gets healed constantly - providing players with an aggressive way to mow down enemies. Nanotrites from the first game, which act as special powers and ability boosts, can also be used to increase combat efficiency. The game also features vehicular combat, including trucks, buggies and gyrocopters, with the player being able to drive any vehicle in the game's world.

Some characters from the original RAGE will also return, such as Antonin Kvasir, Loosum Hagar and John Marshall.

And YES!, the BFG 9000 from DOOM is back! :Y

So here are the confirmed weapons:
# Wingstick - The offspring of an overhead fan and a throwing knife.
# Settler Pistol - included in the Deluxe Edition.
# Sidewinder Pistol
