Storyline Clear Sky

The story of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky brings the players one year prior to the events of the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game in 2011.

A group of stalkers has for the first time reached the very heart of the Zone – Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, and brings about a cataclysm on the brink of a catastrophe. An immense blowout of anomalous energy changes the Zone. There are no more reliable and relatively safe roads. The entire levels vanish in the outbursts of anomalies. Stalkers and even expeditions die or end up sealed on the lost territories. New areas, which remained unknown since the time of the Zone emergence, appear on the Zone map. The Zone continues to shake with blowouts. The Zone is unstable. The anomalous activity is at its maximum.

Changes of the Zone map known to stalkers shake the fragile balance of forces in the Zone. Among the groupings, there flare up hostilities for the new territories, artifact fields and spheres of influence. There are no more old enemies or friends – now everyone is for himself. The Factions War has started between the groupings.

The protagonist is a mercenary who appeared at the edge of the opposition between stalker factions, Strelok and even the Zone itself. The main character will have to play the key role in the events, which led to creation of the Zone up to the point from which the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game begins.

What’s waiting for stalkers in the opened depths of the Zone? Which new challenges bear in the new territories? Why blowouts continue shaking the Zone? Why did the Zone change? How to remove its instability? Which faction will take the upper hand in the clan opposition? Why did Strelok end up in the death truck? What happened to Strelok prior to that? Was there any other choice to make? These and many other questions will get answered in the official prequel S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky.

De S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Wereld
As a player you are free to explore the entire world of the Zone. No physical restrictions. No time limits. You will become a Stalker - a cross between a mercenary and treasure seeker, who is also seen as a plunderer, a scavenger, a loner and, as food. Your task is to locate and retrieve artifacts from anywhere within the Zone.
It's a bit like picking red hot embers out of an infernal oven. And that's the easy part.

Once you've found a few artifacts, you have to find a dealer who you can trade with.

1) They're not on the High Street.
2) They don't belong to any bona fide business association.
3) They'd just as soon cut your throat as cut a deal.

Assuming you can negotiate with them, you'll walk away with some cash.
Now you can buy weapons, ammo, protective suits and other essential stuff which will enable you to complete more onerous tasks in more inaccessible areas.

Though you work mostly alone, you can, through your behaviour, gain mutual benefits from other Stalkers. You can meet and exchange information or trade goods. But, behave like a badass and retribution will be swift.

All your actions have consequences and will impact on the world around you. Not only that, this world exists whether you are there or not. Time passes, the weather is notoriously changeable, anomalies assault the landscape, players and characters interact and feed off each other.
Things are never as you left them, or, how they seem.

The longer you survive, the more you learn about the ways of the Zone. You develop your skills and improve your reputation, you also find out how not to die of starvation. With luck and intelligence you may gain the respect of other Stalkers.

However, that still leaves the military, the mutants and the unfathomable upheavals of the blowouts to contend with.

Good luck. Or do we mean Goodbye?
The Zone

After Chernobyl was evacuated, the area around it was silent - untouched by man and reclaimed by nature. Trees grew up amongst the concrete edifices of Pripyat and wildlife found new homes in the devastation.

With no reason to enter the area, mankind left it alone - a nagging prick to the conscience that refused to go away.

However stories originated. Reports of strange creatures, twisted by the consequences of the accident became commonplace. Some even spoke of abandoned treasures within what came to be called "The Zone".

In 2006 disaster seemed to strike again. A bright light originated from the old reactor plant and people speculated that a second explosion had occurred. Military patrols increased as the authorities seemed more determined than ever to keep people out. However human nature prevailed. Curiosity and greed led to the phenomenon of the "Stalker" - part explorer, part mercenary, part treasure hunter. These brave and foolish individuals started entering the Zone to see what could be salvaged. What they found was beyond imagination.

Stalkers bought out wonders and horrors. Strange irradiated objects called "artefacts" fetched huge sums on a thriving black market - somebody somewhere obviously thought that these artefacts have some value. However the risks involved in retrieving these were huge - mutant creatures roamed the landscape, ready to feed on anything they encountered. And horrific pockets of energy known as "Anomalies" claimed the lives of many unwary Stalkers.

It is now 2012. The Zone is full of wonder and death. Stalkers, mutants and the military roam the deadly landscape of the Zone. It is into this world that you will take the first faltering steps toward becoming a Stalker.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat

Desciption
The events of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat unfold shortly after the end of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl. Having discovered about the open path to the Zone center, the government decides to hold a large-scale military "Fairway" operation aimed to take the CNPP under control.

According to the operation's plan, the first military group is to conduct an air scouting of the territory to map out the detailed layouts of anomalous fields location. Thereafter, making use of the maps, the main military forces are to be dispatched.

Despite thorough preparations, the operation fails. Most of the avant-garde helicopters crash. In order to collect information on reasons behind the operation failure, Ukraine's Security Service send their agent into the Zone center.
From now on everything depends on the player.

Console commands
Typ in de console (~) de volgende commands zonder haakjes!

"rs_stats 1" »»» Video stats (FPS, dynamic- static lights etc.)

(FPS, dynamic- static lights)

Wordt Dual core ondersteund?
Readme: S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl should utilize your dual and quad core processor natively and automatically. Running a dual or quad core processor is one of the best ways to improve performance.
