[xbox] Xbox media center

Je gebruikt XMBC als dashboard? Dan moet je gewoon doen wat er bovenaan in je xbmc.xml staat. xml en xbe in de root, de rest zet je waar je wil, bij jou is dat dus E:\Apps\Xboxmediacenter. In je xbmc.xml pas je de <home>-tage aan naar E:\Apps\Xboxmediacenter. That's it.

Jullie kunnen weer gaan updaten, want er is weer een CVS build gereleased via de bekende kanalen. De datum ervan is 08-18-2004. Voor meer info en een uitgebreid changelog, check xbox-scene.com.
En op de site van critikill is er voor ook nog eens een nieuwe/betere skin te downloaden voor de KML browser...

Maar dan ben ik toch al mijn instellingen kwijt ? Ik wil graag al mijn radio stations en favourites en instellingen etc behouden. Het rare is dat er ook nergens echt een handleiding is hoe je kunt updaten...tenminsten kan hem nergens vinden.

vet dit Ik las net dat een xbox nog maar 149 euro kost. Dan knal ik dit erop en heb ik gewoon een htpc. Heb je een hele xbox + al die andere dingen die je hiermee kunt, voor misschien maar iets meer dan een van de goedkopere dvd-spelers

Vanaf 27 augustus is ie inderdaad nog maar €150,- (en dan te bedenken dat ik er toen ie uitkwam nog €350,- ofzo voor betaald heb )
Maar let op: Hij moet wel omgebouwd zijn om dit te kunnen installeren!

* addictive gaat speciaal een xbox kopen voor xbmc _{nouja... papa koopt 'm}

Let op dat je hem wel moet laten ombouwen, of dat je het zelf doet. En je er een harde schijf bij in moet zetten ( nou ja moet, is wel heel handig...120 gb ofzo kost toch niet zoveel meer ) Dus reken op zo'n € 300,- voor de totale setup. En je bent de garantie kwijt op het moment dat je hem ombouwt.

Met deze nieuwe build kan je nu eindelijk ook sneller dan 8x doorspoelen met beeld!

Ik gebruik nu avalaunch al dashboard en zou graag xbmc daarvoor willen gebruiken maar mis nog 1 functie in xbmc en dat is een update functie.

zodat ik dus niet elke x opzoek moet naar de nieuwste verie en er op moet zetten en blablabla.

avalaunch heeft deze sinds een tijdje en he werkt zeer goed vind ik zelf.

zijn hier scripts voor
of komt er zoiets binnekort aan
of zit het er al in en kijk ik er compleet overheen?

Je kan XBMC niet alleen als dashboard laten draaien daarvoor heb je altijd EvoX of Avalaunch nodig

kan je met mediacenter ook dvd's spelen die op je hdd staan? en kan je ook dvd's streamen van de hdd van een server in je netwerk?

denk dat je bedoelt dat ik evox of avalaunch nodig heb om het erop te zetten,
maar dat zo ook kunnen met een bootdvd

Je kan met Avalaunch wel nieuwe versies van XMBC downloaden/installen.

Dus als je XBMC nu als dash gebruikt, en Ava als program?
XMBC start bij het booten, je start Ava als program, je doet een update van XBMC, reboot, en tadaa... nieuwe XBMC

hoe moet je dat in avalaunch doen dan? Ik kan wel Aval. updaten, maar xbmc niet.

vanaf je pc ftp'en naar avalaunch en nieuwe xbmc erheen kopieren.

Ja, ok. Maar het zou mogelijk zijn om vanuit avalaunch de nieuwe xbmc te downloaden?

In Avalaunch Tools, Settings, Network, Download.

Maar ik zie net dat ze daar niet echt up-to-date zijn met de builds. Er staat nog steeds de officiele v1.0 als download. Da's wel spijtig.
Dan ga je het toch manueel moeten doen als je steeds de allernieuwste build wil...

Hoe updaten jullie xbmc?

Ik gooi gewoon vanaf mijn pc de hele map xbmc op mijn xbox e: weg via ftp. En knal dan de nieuwe er weer op.
Dat is toch ook de normale manier?

Ik wil zo'n afstandsbediening gaan kopen voor mijn xbox omdat ik hoorde dat je daarmee wel in mp3 kan doorspoelen. Is dit inderdaad zo?

Werkt xbmc handig met zo'n dvd remote?

XBMC is echt gemaakt voor de remotecontrol, daarmee is het niet zo zoeken welke knop wat doet, omdat die logisch ingedeeld is, vandaar dat het met je normale controller zo onlogisch aanvoelt.

Nu ik dit allemaal gelezen heb ga ik mijn Xbox ook maar eens ombouwen, en dat xbmc erop zetten. Vind het wel erg handig allemaal....
